I Scrapped!!!

Well, not sure whats happening but I think my Mojo returned tonight. Not sure if he's here for good or not but I made the most of it and managed to complete 2 LO's. Thats more than I've done in the last 6 months!!!

The first one is Jordan, all papers were from an old Self Addressed kit.

And the 2nd one is of Kiean, taken on his very first day at school, a couple of years ago. Again, everything is from an old Self Addressed kit.

It Was A Quiet Christmas

In fact it was a really quiet Christmas. The boys were up late Christmas Eve, as always. We spent a few hours tracking Santa on Norad, which was great this year as it was done on Google Earth.

We were then woke up at about 8 on Christmas Morning by a very excited little boy who had found a present on his bed but didn't want to open it as it had no name tag on it!

We then went over to my parents for the day, which was really nice, and as usual the boys were spoilt rotten. Boxing day was spent at my Father In Laws where we had a great time with all my husbands family.

I've not had too much time for crafting lately, also I just havn't really felt like it either! However here's a few pics of my first BIA project (a calendar for my Mum) and some buckets for school teachers which were then filled with goodies. Lets hope 2008 is a better crafting year for me!

I'm hoping to start the New Year scrapping and crafting like crazy. In fact I have too, as I'm not buying any more stash until I've had a good use up. I also promise to be abetter blogger!

Oh dear....

How bad am I at blogging? I was determined not to let it slip this time but I havn't been here for months.

Here I amm again though and I'm determined to keep it up this time. Hopefully this will become a little crafty blog as I've decided to spend more 'me' time crafting. I really need to use up some of these papers!

Just a quick recap of the summer for you all. We had a wonderful time in DisneyWorld in September. I can't get over the place - it was just amazing. We've decided that we're going back in 2009 and I can't wait. As I start scrapping some pics I'll get them posted on here.

The boys started Keystage 2 this year (or juniors as we called it). I can't believe it. Where have my baby's gone? Here's their latest school pics that were taken a few weeks ago.

School's Out For Summer

OK, so school broke up only a couple of days ago and already you can hear "I'm bored" and "I've got nothing to do Mum". Not only do they have a bedroom full of toys, a PS2 and sky tv, but they also have loads of friends too all in the same boat. So after a bit or pursuasion (and foot stamping) I eventually managed to get them to tidy their room, on the promise that they could have friends over. Who said bribary doesn't work?!?
As usual I had a mad rush last week to get the teachers pressies done in time. i was quite happy to go and buy a bottle and a box of choccies, but the boys were having none of it and wanted me to make something out of "Mum's Special Paper". So that's what I did. Here's some piccies of the finished products. A covered note book, a jar of sweets and a post it holder. I loved making the post it holders out of an acrylic photo frame and I'm planning on making a few more soon. They were so quick and easy to make. Must admit though, not all of the sweets made it into the jars after the boys had got their hands on them!
Do you ever wonder though if hand made items are appreciated? Oh well, too late to worry now!

Where does the time go....

I can't believe its been nearly a month since my last post. Sorry, I really am Britains Worst Blogger. I don't even have the excuse that I've been busy! I just don't seem to have done anything exciting enough to blog about! Anyone else ever feel that way?

I've not been scrapping again either, however I have finished off two CJ's today. Here's a little pic of one, which will be on it's way home to UKScrappers Batgirl as soon as i can get to the post office. Hope you like it Rachel. Sorry, it's a bit of a crappy pic, but it is nearly midnight! As this CJ is on its way home now, I'm only in one CJ on UK Scrappers. I've decided to finish the one that I'm in and then call it a day for a while. I just don't seem to get time to scrap for me and the only creative thing I do is CJ's. So hopefully by cutting down on them, I'll actually get some pages in these albums that I have here!

I seem to have found a new passion lately - baking! Which really is not good when you're a member of Slimming World, with a fair few pounds still to loose. I made a huge Victoria Sandiwch the other day, stuffed with loads of buttercream and it really was delicious, even if i say so myself. It must have been OK as Michael enjoyed it, and he's not usually a cake eater.
Kiean has asked if I'll make his and Jordans birthday cake for their party next month. Not sure if I'm ready for that though, I think i need to go and find a nice easy party cake to follow! Watch this space and I'll let you know how I get on. Here's the cake that I made the other night, want a slice???? :-)

Another CJ

Just a little sneaky peak at another CJ I've just completed. This one belongs to Ynara on UKScrappers and is part of the Sherbert Lemon's CJ. Her theme is Seasons. Can't show you too much I'm afraid! Gorgeous bright colours though. Hope you like it Kate, not long until it's home with you.
That's it now for CJ's for a little while. I may even get some scrapping done this week. I really do need to use up some of these papers before I go on a splurge in Florida!

Easing into it.....

Well, where has the time gone since my last post? I've really been struggling with my scrapping lately and just feel as though I cant find the time or motivation to do any at all. However, I've got CJ's to complete so I set myself some time aside today to get at least one done. And do you know what? I really enjoyed it! Maybe my mojo is on its way back! Thought you might like to see a little pic of the page I've just completed, not too much though as I don't want to ruin it for Alison1544. This one is for 'The Music Of The Movies' CJ, and Alison's theme is Grease. I had a great time completing my entry for it and I've been singing Grease songs all night, much to the annoyance of my husband! Hope you like it Alison.
